The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -72 points.

Monday, the Dow was up +13.96 (+0.06%) at 18,100.41.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +1.56%.

There were 14 Dow stocks up Monday.

Dow stock winners Monday were led by Visa (V) +2.57% and Apple (APPL) +1.89%.

Dow stock losers Monday were led by Intel (INTC) -1.26% and Caterpillar (CAT) -1.09%

Coca-Cola (KO) was initiated with a ‘Buy’ at Sterne Agee CRT with price target of $46 and Dr Pepper Snapple (DPS +0.61%) was initiated with a ‘Buy’ at Sterne Agee CRT with a price target of $88.

International Business Machines (IBM) slid 5% in after-hours trading after it reported Q2 EPS of $3.84, better than consensus of $3.78, but Q2 revenue of $20.8 billion was less than expectations of $20.95 billion as sales declined for a thirteenth quarter.

Verizon Communications (VZ) reported Q2 EPS of $1.04, higher than consensus of $1.01.

European stocks are mixed and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down five-tenths of a cent at $2.751 per gallon.

JPMorgan (JPM) will report earnings on 7/14/2015 before the market open.
