The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +120 points.

Thursday, the Dow was down -117.16 (-0.65%) at 17,959.03.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +0.76%.

There were 5 Dow stocks up Thursday.

Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Merck (MRK) +0.97% and Nike (NKE) +0.83%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday was Dupont (DD) -1.97% and Exxon Mobil (XOM) -1.93%.

Apple (AAPL) was down -0.76% on its first day in the Dow.

Nike (NKE) rose over 4% in after-hours trading after it reported Q3 EPS of 89 cents, higher than consensus of 84 cents.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.426 per gallon.
