International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) reported earnings Tuesday afternoon, with a beat on earnings and a miss on revenues. Earnings per share came in at $5.81 versus an expected EPS of $5.41, marking the first earnings beat in six quarters for IBM. Revenues however fell short of estimates at $24.11 billion versus expectations of $24.77 billion. IBM also lowered guidance on fiscal 2015 EPS to $15.75-$16.50, below consensus of $16.53.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) was upgraded to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Market Perform’ at Wells Fargo.

Wal-Mart (WMT) was downgraded to ‘Equal Weight’ from ‘Overweight’ at Morgan Stanley.

UnitedHealth Group (UNH) reported Q4 EPS of $1.55, better than consensus of $1.50

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.048 per gallon.
