The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -61 points.

Tuesday, the Dow closed up +2.82 (+0.02%) at 16,945.92.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +2.23%.

The Dow closed at another record high Tuesday with the slim +2.82 point gain. It was the tenth record close for the Dow this year.

Dow stock winners yesterday included Intel (INTC) +1.18% and Merck (MRK) +0.95%..

Dow stock losers yesterday included IBM (IBM) -1.04% and Disney (DIS) -0.85%.

Yesterday there were 16 Dow stock winners and 14 losers.

No Dow stock news to be found. Guess they are all doing well.

European stocks were lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down seven-tenth of a cent at $3.646 per gallon.

Earnings Reports.

There are no Dow stocks set to report earnings until Nike reports in late June.

Notable earnings reports from Tuesday include:

Radioshack Corporation (RSH) reported a first quarter loss of $0.98 on revenue of $736.70 million, compared to last year’s loss of $0.35 on revenue of $849.00 million.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance (ULTA) reported first quarter EPS of $0.77 on revenue of $713.80 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.65 on revenue of $582.71 million.

United Natural Foods (UNFI) reported third quarter EPS of $0.73 on revenue of $1.78 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.64 on revenue of $1.57 billion.

Stocks reporting earnings today include:

H&R Block, Inc. (HRB) is expected to report fourth quarter EPS of $3.23 on revenue of $2.49 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $2.54.

Men’s Wearhouse, Inc. (MW) is expected to report first quarter EPS of $0.67 on revenue of $629.66 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.65 on revenue of $616.54 million.
