AT&T (T) said Sunday that it had agreed to pay nearly $50 billion to acquire DirecTV, America’s biggest satellite television provider.

Sunday, Pfizer (PFE) announced that it had increased its takeover bid for AstraZeneca to $116.6 billion, saying this would be its final offer. Early Monday, AstraZeneca rejected the deal, sending its shares down roughly 13 percent as the possibility of an acquisition looked less likely. Pfizer shares are of course up.

AT&T (T) was upgraded to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Market Perform’ at Raymond James.

Home Depot (HD) reports earnings Tuesday before the open.
