DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, May 07, 2014

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +50 points.

Tuesday, the Dow closed down -129.53 (-0.78%) at 16,401.02.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.06%.

Disney (DIS) reports Q2 EPS ex-items of $1.11, better than consensus of $0.96.

Not much Dow stock news today.

I wish I could figure out if markets are going to bleed lower or find that spark to jump higher. Just can’t see the path either way yet.

Alibaba filed for an IPO. You’d better be careful there.

European stocks were moving higher and Asian markets closed lower. The Nikkei in Japan sank by nearly 3%.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $3.666 per gallon.
