The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -33 points.

Friday, the Dow closed down -159.84 (-0.98%) at 16,412.71.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -0.99%. Nasdaq is down -1.2% and the Russell 2000 is down -0.9%. The S&P 500 is the only one up for the year at +0.9%.

Last week the Dow was up +0.5%, S&P 500 +0.4% and Russell 2000 +0.1%. Nasdaq was down -0.7%.

There are ten Dow stocks set to report earnings in the next two weeks and include GE, INTC, JPM, KO, IBM, JNJ, UNH, AXP, GS and DD.

European stocks are lower and Asian stocks ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent to $3.579 per gallon.
