The Market
Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +841 points.
Tuesday, the Dow closed up +74.95 (+0.46%) at 16,532.61
Year-to-date the Dow is down -0.27%.
Yesterday, my indicators said “Why Aren’t You Long?”, so I obeyed and went all in. Well, 90% in.
We’ll see at the end of the month whether it was a good move or not.

Dow stocks up more than 5% this year include Caterpillar (CAT) +9.91%, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +6.93%, Merck & Co. (MRK) +12.63%, Microsoft (MSFT) +10.72%, UnitedHealth (UNH) +8.69% and Walt Disney (DIS) +6.77%.
Wal-Mart (WMT) plans to sell eight year and 12 year euro bonds. This marks the first time in five years the retailer will sell bonds denominated in euros. Wal-Mart shares closed up 0.44% yesterday at $76.77.

The US ADP employment report said 191,000 private sector jobs were added in March. The number was much higher than February’s 139,000, but still below economists expectations.
European stocks are mostly higher and Asian stocks ended higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent to $3.561 per gallon.
