The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +33 points.

Friday, the Dow closed down -28.28 (-0.17%) at 16,302.77.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.65%.

They have spotted more objects that may be from the missing Malaysian flight. Still no plane though.

Europe is down on weakening in China.

There will be more than a dozen IPO’s this week. To me, that kind of smells like a top in the market. Guess we will see.

European stocks are lower and Asian stocks ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up four-tenths of a cent to $3.529 per gallon.

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (DRI) reported third quarter EPS of $0.82 on revenue of $2.23 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $1.02 on revenue of $2.26 billion.

Tiffany & Co. (TIF) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.47 on revenue of $1.30 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $1.40 on revenue of $1.31 billion.

Exa Corporation (EXA) is expected to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.03 on revenue of $14.70 million, compared to last year’s loss of $0.01 per share on revenue of $13.13 million.

Renesola Ltd. (SOL) is expected to report a fourth quarter loss of $0.14 per share on revenue of $381.40 million, compared to last year’s loss of $0.53 per share on revenue of $306.45 million.

Sonic Corp. (SONC) is expected to report second quarter EPS of $0.06 on revenue of $111.03 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.05 on revenue of $111.14 million.
