Tuesday, the Fed starts its final policy meeting of the year. The Fed has been pumping $85 billion per month into the financial system since September 2012. It will announce any policy changes after it wraps up its two-day meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Exxon Mobil (XOM) was upgraded to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ at Goldman.
European stocks are lower and Asian stocks ended mostly lower.
The national average price of gasoline over the weekend is down two cents to $3.228 per gallon.
