Market Happenings For Friday, November 15, 2013

Dow stocks at new 52 week highs include 3M (MMM), Boeing (BA), Disney (DIS), General Electric (GE), Pfizer (PFE), Procter & Gamble (PG) and Nike (NKE). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Wednesday the Dow closed up +54.59 (+0.35%) at 15,876.22.

Premarket, the Dow was indicated to open up +28 points.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +21.15%.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM) reported October net credit losses of 2.82% vs. 2.63% in September and October delinquency rate of 1.60% vs. 1.57% in September.

Yesterday, Berkshire Hathaway disclosed that it had bought 40.1 million shares of Exxon Mobil, resulting in a $3.45 billion stake. Shares were up on that news.

European stocks are mixed and Asian stocks ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent to $3.199 per gallon.

Home Depot (HD) will report earnings on 11/19/13 before the market open.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) reported third quarter EPS of $1.14 on revenue of $115.69 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $1.08 on revenue of $113.93 billion.
Kohl’s Corporation (KSS) reported third quarter EPS of $0.81 on revenue of $4.44 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.91 on revenue of $4.49 billion.
Nordstrom, Inc. (JWN) reported third quarter EPS of $0.69 on revenue of $2.88 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.71 on revenue of $2.81 billion.
