The Market

Investors are still cautious this morning, waiting to see if lawmakers will come to an agreement before Thursday’s debt ceiling deadline. Failure to reach an agreement might trigger a default on U.S. debt and chaos in global markets.
Intel (INTC) shares were down in after-hours trading after it reported Q3 EPS of 58 cents, better than consensus of 53 cents, but said manufacturing snags will delay its new Broadwell line of processors.
European markets are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.
The national average price of gasoline is up one cent to $3.357 per gallon.
