The Market

Friday the Dow closed down -4.98 )-0.10%) at 14,922.50.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +13.88%..

This morning the Dow was indicated to open up +5 points.

The WSJ reported that AT&T (T) has gotten tentative approval from the U.S. Department of Labor to contribute up to $9.5 billion of preferred stock to its pension plan, which would make the company’s plan nearly fully funded.

European markets are lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline since Friday is down 1.4 cents to $3.570 per gallon.
