The Market

This morning, 3M (MMM) reported second quarter earnings of $1.2 billion, or $1.71 per share, with revenue climbing nearly 3% to $7.75 billion. Earnings topped analyst estimates by a penny, but came up short on sales.
European markets are lower and Asian markets ended lower.
The national average price of gasoline is down five-tenths of a a cent to $3.655 per gallon.
