Market Happenings For Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) JPMorgan (JPM), American Express (AXP) and Home Depot (HD). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Tuesday the Dow closed up +52.30 (+0.34%) at 15,387.58.

This morning the Dow was indicated to open up +18 points.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM) voted not to split the chairman and CEO roles.

Bernanke will discuss his outlook for the economy Wednesday before Congress in a hearing that begins at 10 a.m. ET.

At 2 p.m. today the Fed will release the minutes from its most recent policy meeting.

Today after the close Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) is expected to report EPS of $0.81 with revenues of $28.51 billion.

European markets are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is up six-tenths of a cent to $3.660 per gallon.
