Market Happenings For Monday, May 20, 2013

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Microsoft (MSFT), JPMorgan (JPM), Coca Cola (KO), American Express (AXP), Boeing (BA), United Technologies (UTX) and Dupont (DD). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Friday the Dow closed up +121.18 (+0.80%) at 15,354.4.

This morning the Dow is indicated to open down -20 points.

Last week DJIA was up +1.6%, Nasdaq+1.8%, S&P 500 +2.1% and Russell 2000 +2.2%.

Year-to-date DJIA is up 17.2%, Nasdaq +15.9%, S&P 500 +16.9% and Russell 2000 +17.3%.

European markets are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 3.5 cents over the weekend to $3.653 per gallon.

Earnings Reports

Home Depot (HD) reports earnings on Tuesday before the market open.

Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) reports earnings Wednesday after the market close.

United Technologies (UTX).
