The Market

This morning the Dow is indicated to open down -9 points.
Cisco Systems (CSCO) reports earnings tonight and Wal-Mart (WMT) reports earnings tomorrow morning.
Cisco is expected to report third quarter EPS of $0.49 vs. $0.48 a year ago.
Wal-Mart has refused to sign a new safety pact for its suppliers in Bangladesh but has announced that it will increase inspections in the country in the wake of the disaster that left numerous workers dead and more injured.
The Nikkei topped 15,000 for the first time in five years as the yen continues to weaken.
In Europe, France slipped back into recession after a 0.2% decline in GDP for the first quarter of 2013 and Germany’s economy expanded by 0.1% over the same period.
European markets are mixed and Asian markets ended higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up six-tenths of a cent to $3.588 per gallon. Regular is $3.82 a gallon here at the Gig Harbor Costco and more than $4.00 at many gas stations.
