Market Happenings For Monday, February 11, 2013

The Market

Markets are down this morning with the Dow currently down -31 points.

The East Coast is still digging out from the weekend’s historic blizzard.

Microsoft’s (MSFT) Surface Pro tablet has sold out at most locations such as Best Buy and Staples.

The G-20 meeting is set to be held this week in Moscow, and there are reports that finance ministers are discussing releasing a statement on exchange rates to try to calm concerns that developed economies might engage in a currency war, sparked by Japanese efforts to lower the value of the yen.

European markets are mixed and Asian markets closed mostly higher.

There are 10 Dow stocks higher led by BAC (+1.03%), CSCO, DIS, PFE and MCD.

Dow stocks lower are led by WMT (-0.73%), HD, BA, HPQ and UTXX.

Earnings

Dow stocks reporting earnings this week include Cisco (CSCO) and Coca Cola (KO).

KO on 2/12/2013 before the open.

CSCO on 2/13/2013 after the market close.

HPQ and WMT report earnings next week on 2/21/2013.

1100 ET USDA weekly grain export inspections.
