Market Happenings For Monday, January 07, 2013

Premarket, futures are down a bit. Gainers this morning include QEP (+2.81%), LEN, AMZN, KLAC and PPL while losers include EA (-5.11%), KEY, WYN, AMAT and PCS.

The Market

Earnings start this week with Alcoa (AA) tomorrow after the close and BAC, INTC, AXP and UNH next week.

Bank of America (BAC) is higher in premarket trading after it announced a $10.3 billion settlement with Fannie Mae (FNMA) to resolve current and future repurchase claims on loans that were originated before December 31, 2008.

Boeing (BA), a big company here in the pacific northwest is at a 52 week high.

European markets are down and Asian markets ended mostly down.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent to $3.297 per gallon.
