After the close…

We have RVBD down -26.7%, FTNT -15.1%, AAPL -0.2% and IBM down -0.1% following their earnings reports.

Stocks rallied sharply in response to a strong batch of earnings reports, pleasing economic data, and presumed progress in talks about raising the U.S. debt ceiling.

After the close, notable stocks reporting earnings include YHOO, AAPL, ALTR, ANH, ATR, CMG, CTAS, CCK, CSX, FIS, FTNT, FULT, INFN, ISRG, MANH, MRTN, MILL, PNFP, PTP, RVBD, SYK, TCO, URI, VMW, WCN, and WIIT.

Futures are higher after hours with S&P 500 futures up +0.43 from fair value of 1322.57 and Nasdaq 100 futures up +11.92 from fair value of 2394.58.

Tomorrow before the open, there is one economic report scheduled to be released: 1) MBA Mortgage Purchase Index (Consensus NA).

Also tomorrow before the open, notable stocks expected to report earnings include ABT, MO, APH, ATMI, BLK, EMC, FCFS, HBI, HST, HCBK, JAKK, JCI, KCG, LUFK, MTB, NTRS, PJC, PNC, BPOP, DGX, ST, STJ, TEL, TXT, USB, and UTX.

PSVIX, my favorite mutual fund closed at 32.56, up $0.53 (+1.65%). It’s previous high was 33.17 back on April 29, 2011.
