After the close…
For the week, all indices were down. The Dow was down -1%, Nasdaq -2.%,S&P 500 -1.3% and Russell 2000 was down -2.7%. PSVIX took it in the shorts too. RUT broke down through the 40 SMA and is now a sell. I will be paring back my position now and not putting any new money to work at all. I will stop selling when price moves back above (if it does) and sell all if it moves back above then again falls below.
Coffee was a top performer this week with SBUX jumping +10.4% and GMCR up +41% after SBUX announcing a strategic relationshsip with GMCR.
Tech as a whole, semiconductotrs and equipment makers, Apple and Google were all down.
Year to date the Dow is up +4%, Nasdaq up 2.4%, S&P 500 up 3.7% and Russell 2000 is up 2.4%.
