US stocks surged Tuesday after positive earnings reports, pushing the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a close above 12,000 for the first time since June 19, 2008.(AFP/Getty Images/File/Chris Hondros)AFP – The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 12,000 for the first time in two and a half years Tuesday as US stocks shrugged off Egypt’s turmoil and jumped on positive corporate earnings.
