Monday the Dow was up +327.69 (+1.18%) at 27,993.33.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.91%.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by American Express (AXP) 107.27 (+3.78%), Boeing (BA) 165.35 (+3.20%) and Apple (AAPL) 115.355 (+3.00%).

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Chevron (CVX) 77.29 (-0.51%), Disney (DIS) 131.25 (-0.38%) and Caterpillar (CAT) 153.51 (-0.21%).

The two day FOMC meeting starts today.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.186 per gallon.
