DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, June 17, 2020

There are no Dow stocks at 52 week highs. There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +63 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +526.82 (+2.04%) at 26,289.98.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -7.88%.

All 30 Dow stocks were up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) +5.26%, Merck (MRK) +3.99%, Boeing (BA) +3.58%, Home Depot (HD) +3.56%, Chevron (CVX) +3.07% and IBM (IBM) +2.88%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were not to be found.

Apple (AAPL) will reopen 10 stores in New York City this week for the first time since they closed in March in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 10 city stores will be open “by appointment.” Apple did not say which day this week the stores will open but added that specific hours and dates will be posted to the company’s website.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $2.105 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reports earnings on 6/25/2020 after the market close.

McDonald’s (MCD) is down -3.69% year-to-date. McDonald’s (MCD) YTD low was 124.23 on 3/18/2020. That’s a +50.23% gain from the 2020 low.
