DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +320 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -390.51 (-1.59%) at 24,206.86.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -15.18%.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were Intel (INTC) +0.62%, Nike (NKE) +0.52% and Raytheon (RTX) +0.07%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Boeing (BA) -3.69%, Procter & Gamble (PG) -3.24% and Chevron (CVX) -3.17%.

West Texas Intermediate futures, the US benchmark, were last trading above $32 per barrel, having gained more than 70% this month. Brent crude futures, the global benchmark, were last trading at $35 per barrel, a 39% monthly rise.

Minutes from the Fed’s April 28-29 meeting will be released at 11 am PDT.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) said late Tuesday it will stop selling talc-based baby powder in North America following a flurry of lawsuits alleging the product causes cancer.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.9 cents at $1.908 per gallon.
