Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -25 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -119.70 (-0.42%) at 28,583.68.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +0.16%.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Boeing (BA) +1.06%, Goldman Sachs (GS) +0.66% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +0.61%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Merck (MRK) -2.66%, JPMorgan (JPM) -1.70% and Intel (INTC) -1.67%.

ADP said private payrolls added 202,000 workers in December.

Boeing (BA) sold off 2% after one of its airplanes crashed in Iran Wednesday morning.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.1 cents at $2.596 per gallon.

Goldman Sachs (GS) reports earnings on 1/15/2020 before the market open.

UnitedHealth (UNH) reports earnings on 1/15/2020 before the market open.
