DJIA Market Happenings For Tuesday, December 24, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Caterpillar (CAT), Intel (INTC) and Visa (V). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +18 points.

Monday the Dow was up +96.44 (+0.34%) at 28,551.53.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +22.39%.

There were 17 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Boeing (BA) +2.91%, 3M (MMM) +1.77% and Apple (AAPL) +1.63%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Disney (DIS) -1.50%, Verizon (VZ) -1.08% and Walmart (WMT) -1.05%.

Boeing (BA) told suppliers for its grounded 737 Max jet to suspend parts shipments for one month starting in mid-January. That follows the firing of CEO Dennis Muilenburg earlier in the day.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $2.548 per gallon.

Earnings Reports

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 12/19/2019 after the market close of $0.52, missing estimates calling for $0.618 per share.
