The Dow Market Happenings For Friday, December 13, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Goldman Sachs (GS), JPMorgan (JPM), Merck (MRK), Microsoft (MSFT), Nike (NKE), UnitedHealth (UNH) and Verizon (VZ). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -19 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +220.75 (+0.79%) at 28,132.05.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +20.60%.

There were 27 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Cisco (CSCO) +3.14%, JPMorgan (JPM) +2.86% and Dow DOW) +2.54%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Boeing (BA) -1.06%, 3M (MMM) -0.11% and Procter & Gamble (PG) -0.07%.

President Donald Trump has signed off on a “phase one” trade deal with China. The deal delays a new round of US tariffs on roughly $160 billion worth of Chinese goods, which had been set to take effect on Sunday.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down five-tenths of a cent at $2.566 per gallon.
