A Philadelphia jury ordered Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) to pay $8 billion in damages to a man claiming the company didn’t warn male consumers its Risperdal drug could result in breast growth. The $8 billion sum is likely to be reduced on grounds that it violates due process.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent at $2.646 per gallon.
