The Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Walmart (WMT) -1.15%, Chevron (CVX) -1.08% and DowDuPont (DWDP) -0.98%.

Weekly unemployment insurance weekly claims in the week ending March 23, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 211,000, a decrease of 5,000 from the previous week’s revised level. The previous week’s level was revised down by 5,000 from 221,000 to 216,000. The 4-week moving average was 217,250, a decrease of 3,250 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised down by 4,500 from 225,000 to 220,500.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.2 cents at $2.685 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 3/21/2019 after the market close of $0.68, beating estimates of $0.662 per share.

Walgreens (WBA) reports earnings on 4/2/201 before the market open.
