DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, October 1, 2018

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO) and Visa (V). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +164 points.

Friday the Dow was up +18.38 (+0.07%) at 26,458.31.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +7.04%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Intel (INTC) +3.07% and Boeing (BA) +1.23%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -1.54% and JPMorgan (JPM) -1.47%.

Chevron (CVX -0.16%) was reinstated with an ‘Outperform’ at Wolfe Research with a price target of $146.

Intel (INTC +3.07%) was downgraded to ‘Underweight’ from ‘Equal-Weight’ at Barclays with a price target of $38.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $2.877 per gallon.

Earnings Reports.

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 9/25/2018 after the market close of $0.67, just beating estimates calling for $0.657 per share.

Walgreens (WBA) reports earnings on 10/11/18 before the market open.
