The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +150 points.

Friday the Dow was down -572.46 (-2.34%) at 23,932.76.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -3.18%.

There were no (as in zero) Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were not to be found.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) -3.47%, Intel (INTC) -3.16%, Boeing (BA) -3.06%, 3M (MMM) -2.94% and Nike (NKE) -2.93%.

Boeing (BA -3.06%) received a $12.3 billion deal for 47 Dreamliners from American Airlines.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.661 per gallon.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) reports earnings on 4/17/2018 before the market open.

UnitedHealth (UNH) reports earnings on 4/17/2018 before the market open.

IBM (IBM) reports earnings on 4/17/2018 after the market close.

American Express (AXP) reports earnings on 4/18/2018 after the market close.
