DJIA Market Happenings For Tuesday, April 3, 2018

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +148 points.

Monday the Dow was down -458.92 (-1.90%) at 23,644.19.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -4.35%.

There were 2 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) +1.50% and McDonald’s (MCD) +0.86%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Intel (INTC) -6.07% and Cisco (CSCO) -4.38%.

The Dow was below its 200-day moving average yesterday, but managed to close above.

The S&P 500 closed below its 200-day moving average for the first time since June 2016.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.658 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 3/22/2018 after the market close of $-0.57, missing estimates calling for $0.555 per share.

JPMorgan (JPM) reports earnings on 4/13/2018 before the market open.
