The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.3 percent for the week ending March 10, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending March 10 was 1,828,000, a decrease of 57,000 from the previous week’s revised level.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up nine-tenths of a cent at $2.575 per gallon.
