The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -192 points.

Monday the Dow was down -1.77.23 (-0.67%) at 26,439.48.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +6.96%.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) +1.62% and Wal-Mart (WMT) +1.07%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) -2.68% and Apple (AAPL) -2.07%.

Apple (AAPL -2.07%) is down 1% in premarket trading on carry-over weakness from Monday when it fell 2.6% when Nikkei reported Apple will cut its Q1 iPhone X production in half due to slower than expected holiday sales.

The Fed meets today and tomorrow.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up seven-tenths of a cent at $2.586 per gallon.
