DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL) and UnitedHealth (UNH). Dow stock 52 week lows include General Electric (GE).

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -20 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +56.97 (+0.26%) at 21,865.37.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.35%.

There were 17 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by United Technologies (UTX) +2.92% and Boeing (BA) +1.40%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Nike (NKE) -1.86% and Dupont (DD) -0.77%.

Private payrolls grew by 237,000 in August, ahead of the 185,000 that economists expected.

US revised second-quarter GDP up 3.0% vs 2.7% rise expected.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 206 cents at $2.404 per gallon.
