Year-to-date the Dow is up +5.93%.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by IBM (IBM) +0.81% and American Express (AXP) +0.68%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Dupont (DD) -1.08% and Chevron (CVX) -0.94%.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up four-tenths of a cent at $2.290 per gallon.
