Tuesday the Dow was up +11.23 (+0.06%) at 19,945.04.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +14.46%.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Apple (AAPL) +0.64% and Cisco (CSCO) +0.49%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Nike (NKE) -1.19% and Procter & Gamble (PG) -0.42%.

The two highest Dow stock gainers for 2016 are Caterpillar (CAT) +39.13% and UnitedHealth (UNH) +38.25%.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down five-tenths of a cent at $2.291 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 12/20/16 after the market close of $0.50, beating estimates calling for $0.431 per share.
