DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, December 28, 2015

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include McDonald’s (MCD).There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -85 points.

Thursday, the Dow was down -50.44 (-0.29%) at 17,552.17.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.52%.

There were 7 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Dupont (DD) +0.56% and Disney (DIS) +0.28%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday was Chevron (CVX) -1.88% and Nike (NKE) -1.83%.

Exxon Mobil (XOM -1.07%) and Chevron (CVX -1.88%) are both down over 1% in premarket trading as the price of crude falls over 2%.

General Electric (GE -0.39%) said it won a contract to supply turbines that account for half of the generation capacity of a 10.2 gigawatt Wudonde hydropower plant being built by China Three Gorges Corp.

Only 13 of the Dow 30 stocks are up year-to-date, with only 4 trading days left. Nike (NKE) is the big winner so far with a gain of +31.42% and Wal-Mart (WMT) is the biggest loser down -29.17%.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $1.999 per gallon.
