Wednesday, the Dow was down -50.58 (-0.31%) at 16,279.89.

Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) -2.06% and Boeing (BA) -1.73%.

General Electric (GE +0.12%) signed a $12 billion export financing pact with U.K. Export Financing.

Wal-Mart (WMT +0.20%) is seeking to cut its purchase of goods made in China by 2-6%.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is up six-tenths of a cent at $2.289 per gallon.
