The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, November 26, 2014

Dow stocks at 52 week highs includes Cisco (CSCO), Intel (INTC) and Visa (V). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -9 points.

Tuesday, the Dow closed dpwn -2.96 (-0.02%) at 17,814.94.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +7.47%.

There were 14 Dow stock winners Tuesday.

Dow stock winners Tuesday included United Technologies +2.68% and Disney (DIS) +1.18%.

Dow stock losers Tuesday included Home Depot (HD) -1.41% and Chevron (CVX) -1.22%.

One time Dow stock Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) is down in after-hours trading after it reported Q4 EPS of $1.06, right on consensus, although Q4 revenue of $28.40 billion was less than consensus of$28.76 billion.

European stocks are mixed and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent at $2.810 per gallon.

Earnings Reports.

There are no Dow stocks set to report earnings in the near term.

Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.06 on revenue of $28.4 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $1.01 on revenue of $29.13 billion.

Hormel Foods Corporation (HRL) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.63 on revenue of $2.54 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.58 on revenue of $2.32 billion.

Campbell Soup Company (CPB) reported first quarter EPS of $0.74 on revenue of $2.26 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.66 on revenue of $2.16 billion.

Tiffany & Co. (TIF) reported third quarter EPS of $0.76 on revenue of $959.59 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.73 on revenue of $922.48 million.

Deere & Company (DE) is expected to report fourth quarter EPS of $1.57 on revenue of $7.75 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $2.11 on revenue of $8.62 billion.

Seadrill Limited (SDRL) is expected to report third quarter EPS of $0.67 on revenue of $1.23 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.58 on revenue of $1.28 billion.
