Market Happenings For Friday, July 19, 2013

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Bank of America (BAC), Cisco Systems (CSCO), Dupont (DD), JPMorgan (JPM), UniteedHealth (UNH), United Technologies (UTX) and Exxon Mobil (XOM). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Thursday the Dow closed up +78.02 (+0.50%) at 15,548.54.

This morning the Dow was indicated to open down -11 points.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +18.65%.

Microsoft (MSFT) shares are down 8.3 percent premarket as it missed earnings estimates.

General Electric (GE) shares are up premarket after the conglomerate reported earnings and sales roughly in line with estimates, and said it saw strong growth in U.S. orders.

European markets are lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up three-tenths of a cent to $3.672 per gallon.
