Premarket, futures are down. Gainers this morning include WPI (+2.3%), PBCT, BSX, YHOO and LMT while losers include UPS (-5.25%), HP, EMR, VLO and BTU.

The Market

Sunday, the National Retail Federation reported that the Black Friday weekend brought in a record $59.1 billion in sales, up 13% from last year.

Friday, U.S. stocks rallied in a holiday-shortened trading day, led by gains in retail stocks.

All eyes are on the fiscal cliff as Congress is back in session and under pressure to reach a deal before the end of the year.

Eurozone finance ministers are meeting for the third time to discuss the latest release of bailout funds for Greece.

European stocks are lower in midday trading and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down three-tenths of a cent to $3.423 per gallon.

For online shoppers, today we have Cyber Monday.
