The Dow closed down -37.62 (-0.29%) at 12,971.06. Below 13, 000 again.
Today the Fed comes through with a big nothing and my beloved Russell 2000 is zapped to the tune of -2%. Kaput, gone.
Tomorrow we will again have an opportunity to win or lose with words from the ECB. Me, I still have 60% , less the -2% loss from today, on the line. So, its a 50/50 bet, more or less.
Here’s a rumor I have been expecting. Shares of Apple (AAPL) have gained 4% this week amid speculation about a possible stock split and potential for its inclusion in the Dow. You know I believe it should be in and some other tech company should be removed. The largest cap stock should be in the Dow.
The dollar was down against the euro and Japanese yen, but gained versus the British pound.
Oil for September delivery added 79 cents to $88.85 a barrel.
Gold futures for August delivery dropped $6.80 to settle at $1,60.3.70 an ounce.
The price on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury dropped, pushing the yield up to 1.49% from 1.43% late Tuesday.

Tonight I see one time Le Fly stock buy ,YELP, over at iBankcoin is up 14% in after-hours. Of course it was down nearly 6% in regular trade though. I still don’t think there’s anything worth buying in the social arena.
