The Dow closed down -2.65 (-0.02%) at 13,073.01 (basically unchanged).
The Russell 2000 however closed down -0.56%. The COMP and SPX were flat on the day like the Dow.
Folks just seem to be hanging out, waiting on the bankers to chime in, good or bad.
Dow gainers were led by KO (+1.39%), CSCO, UTX, TRV, T,WMT, CVX and KFT.
Dow losers were led by JPM (-2.03%), HPQ, MRK, INTC, BA, HD, GE, CAT and PFE.
Looks like Coca Cola (KO) splits 2 for 1 on 8/10/2012.
KO, T and WMT all made new 52 week highs today.
The dollar was up against the euro and British pound, but fell versus the Japanese yen.
Oil for September delivery slipped 49 cents to $89.64 a barrel.
Gold futures for August delivery rose $1.70 to $1,619.70 an ounce.
The price on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury was down a bit and the yield edged up to 1.50%.
