DJIA / Market Close for Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Well we finally got a little selling. Hopefully we are just getting started.

The Dow was down -68.94 (-0.52% %) to close at 13,170.19. The Nasdaq, S&P 500, Russell 2000 , PSVIX, ODVYX and Oil were all down today. Gold however was up.

Shares of U.S. companies in the industrial and materials sector led the retreat, with Caterpillar (CAT), Alcoa (AA) and Chevron (CVX) down sharply. Shares of Bank of America (BAC), Cisco (CSCO) and Home Depot (HD) managed to buck the trend.

European stocks and Asian markets both ended lower.

Tomorrow before the open, notable stocks expected to report earnings include ATU, DQ, FRED, and GIS.
