After the close…

We have AMD +4.9%, CSTR -11.4%, LVS +3.5% following their earnings reports and guidance.

Stocks staged their best single-session performance in more than two weeks on strong volume today. That has helped the S&P 500 move closer to its fourth straight weekly gain and best monthly performance in more than 20 years. Amid the action the Volatility Index, frequently labeled the Fear Gauge, dove to its lowest level in more than two months. Since the start of the month it is down more than 40%.

Futures are higher after hours with S&P 500 futures up +1.73 from fair value of 1280.27 and Nasdaq 100 futures up +1.53 from fair value of 2395.17.

Tomorrow before the open, there are two economic reports scheduled to be released: 1) Personal income (Consensus 0.3%), Personal spending (Consensus 0.6%), PCE prices – core (Consensus 0.1%) and 2) Employment cost index (Consensus 0.6%).
