After the close…

The following stocks are moving since reporting earnings after the close: URBN +3.9%, A +3.0%, RICK -8.7%, PWRD -7.3%. In step with last week’s near 4% loss, stocks opened Monday morning with a loss. However, an early bounce helped the broader market improve its position, but still finishing flat.

After the close, A, AXAS, CPIX, IOC, PWRD, RICK, RINO and URBN were the notable names reporting earnings. Futures are higher after hours with S&P 500 futures 0.45 points above fair value of 1077.35 and Nasdaq 100 futures 1.66 points above fair value of 1820.59.

Four sectors out of ten were in positive territory, led by materials (+0.5%), tech (+0.4%) and utilities (+0.1%). Consumer discretionary, consumer staples and industrials were flat, while health care (-0.4%), telecom (-0.3%) and financials (-0.2%) were in negative territory.

Tomorrow morning, four economic reports are scheduled to be released before the open including: 1) Housing Starts (Consensus 555K), 2) Building Permits (Consensus 573K), 3) PPI (Consensus 0.2%) and 4) Core PPI (Consensus 0.1%).
